To My Fellow PRPs in my journey in HTJS

As of typing this, it is 29/7/2022 after spending the day taking photos and catching up with most of y'all at the hospital and after work in KFC.

I reflected among all of our time together in HTJS and decided to reminisce back together the times I have spent with each of you down memory lane after spending 1 year, 3 months and 24 days together.

Starting off after tagging in Inpatient and Outpatient, I was thrown into Methadone clinic. I did panic as there was no one to guide me on the first day but luckily

Nur Farhana

Thank you for guiding me and referring me to our senior at that time, kak Ain. Remembering that time, I was so stress because just started work and got working colleagues friendly and helping out. Syukur sangat. Fast forward a few months and it was just you and me in PRIC. Weyh ingat x time tu query datang belambak sampai kita take turn ambik phone. Doctor pun dah cam suara kita. The minute 1 of us kena oncall nangis yang lagi satu. hahaha.

After that was thrown into Inpatient, get to know more of you guys, familiarize with all of you and work with each other especially during covid period and the medications can get out of hand especially during indent days.

Dashini, Husna, Luqman, Xue Ling, Aziera, Iskhandar, Qi Ying, (Joe)

I was not close to everyone yet la this time (forgive me if i spelt your name wrong xD)

Mohamad Iskandar

Thank you for being a good friend especially during oncalls where you would pickup and respond almost immediately. Masa time Methadone floaters time tu, memang banyak jugak la berubah sikit. Dapat la orang cover.

Lee Kong (Joe)

I'm not sure if you still remember, but we were quite close especially in IPD and OPD when we were group mates for our research. I can tell you it was quite a "specific" pairing. But jokes aside. I hope you are happy with where you are now.

After 2 weeks and the 4 weeks PRPs move out to other departments, I got slightly closer with others.

Suhaila Hanis

First time working with you kat IPD, felt like it was someone that I could actually talk and understand certain situations (Not sure kalau you ingat lagi) Lebih lagi bila time clinical few months after tu. Rase macam memang boleh faham.

Siti Hawa

Will forever remember you due to the times we had in IVDD (Ingat x masa  tally first time. Havoc. Turun logistics sampai 2 kali) But always finish on time and cover for each other. Inexperiences caused us to take ward yang besar2, Lepas tu tahu2 la ape yang berlaku haha

After that, Moved on to TDM where once again I was isolated from almost everyone. Going to wards and giving out appointments, learning and studying with senior. It was a quite the experience since that time TDM was downstairs next to TPN/CDR. Calculations were all done down stairs (Sorry Puan Farah kalau selalu buat silap pengiraan time tu xD) Then it was time to move to logistics.

Logistics was one of the times were I started to be really close with PRPs because of the free time and the amount of time we spent together especially when just sitting side by side or just reading up on logistics guidelines.

A'qilah Idayu

This was the time I truely got to know you with all your perks and interest. My god bende kita cakap kat logistics tu I ingat lagi. Lebih2 lagi dengan Angeline and Kalai. Don't forget tentang yang makan kat bawah pohon tu. Masih ingat lagi.

4 weeks pass by and now back in Outpatient. I was so anxious masuk balik expecialy bila dah terlupa location medication. I don't think I remember much that happened in OPD other then that I was really tired and instantly knocked out when I get back home.

Lee Kah Wei (Cynthia)

I think this was when I really got to know you and your colours ( for the better not for the worst) Gossiping with you halfway when doing fillings was 1 of the small "stress" relief especially when sometimes there was sharks.

Erlenda Julia

This was the time I got to know you more as well. I still remember during clinical when I jumpe you kat Taman and we discussed regarding semua bende clinical. Time tu memang stress ar. Tapi sekarang dah jadi mummy dah. All the best yeah.

Ng Xian-Zhuang (Daryl)

Mah boy is where I met and worked with you at OPD. Still remember giving you a heart attack when I said clobazam was not tally xD. Even fixed my medication error of unasyn. Always got me covered. Thanks for being there and being your usual self. Brightens up my day whenever I talk to you ahaha.

Iz Mohd Zaim

Daripada time kat OPD lagi masih ingat you. Selalu ditolong. Pagi yang panggil saya sebab DD pun saya masih ingat ahaha. Ketua yang paling mantap. Beruntung dapat berkenalan dengan you.

I proceeded to spend the remaining weeks all in OPD so It went by quite fast and unnoticeably because well, work, sleep and repeat daily as well as weekly logbook report. And before you know it, I was already in Manufact.

Hong Xue Ling

My sifu in IPD and in Manufact. Thank you for being there especially during the first time in IPD where we had our small small talks in between breaks. Manufact has also brought us closer when you guide me and Fatin on the workflow and technique of extempt. When you found out the next department was clinical, I still remember you thinking how you were going to get through it and i understood that feeling when it was my turn haha.

Fatin Najiha

Time ni la baru kenal kat manufact bila Xue Ling ajar kita. Thank you for being patient with me (especially the time when I mintak off and you tinggal seorang XD). Sekarang bila dah float TDM dah pro clinical daaaah kah kah kah.

Manisha

Looking back, Manufact was the same time I actually worked together with you and Husna and you were coming in from IPD. Thank you for being chat buddies with me especially when we walk back together during floating and our same parking spot haha.

Siti Najihah

Bende yang I paling ingat the first time kita kerja sama kat Manufact is when we were talking about cerita hantu mase kita buat indent ward. Dengan video pelik2 kita tengok kat youtube. Time ni la i kenal you bace macam2 manhwa dengan manga semua. Dengan you punye gadget watch and phone. Kelakar jugak la bila fikir balik

Nurfikriah Husna

Time you masuk Manufact was a bit of a shock la time tu. You know the reason, I don't need to repeat it. But I learnt alot from you especially when you mentioned "I know my own pace" Faham2 je la. Thank you.

Waaa lepas tu. Masuk Clinical. Otak semua Jam. Don't know what to do. Lucky got everyone to those that were in clinical that helped. ESPECIALLY THE WHATSAPP GROUP (Clinical Newbies omg)

Nurul Aqilah

Everyday jumpe kat library. Lepas tu x dapat cari PCI xD. Ingat lagi time stress buat clinical presentation dengan cari requirement. Query semua dapat dijawab sekarang. Time ni la I paling ingat you.

Choong Qi Ying

I somehow remember you more in clinical then in IPD because I would ask you soo many clinical workflow and things that I only remember you in clinical xD. But now you were already IPD geng. Ah now I remember, I was with you during your last 2 weeks of PRIC and my last 2 weeks rotation of PRIC also before we started to float. 4 PRPS in PRICs hahaha.

After clinical, finally worked with Farhana back in PRIC. A lot of query came in and lots of work but we managed to get it done. Not to mention critical appraisal, CME presentation as well as research project. Fast forward 2 weeks and passed over to Dashini and Husna, It was time to move on to TPN/CDR

Nurul Aziera

TPN geng yang masuk dengan I tapi tinggal I seorang hari pertama dengan pegawai yang entah la. Tahu je la. Malas nak cakap tentang dia. Setiap kali fikir balik rase geram. Nak buat kerja lebih bilik tu xde orang. Tapi untung la. Mase time tu mase petang pegawai free. Boleh ajar banyak2. X tahu la you ingat semua yang dia ajar hehe. Thank you mase time kat TPN/CDR.

After finishing IPD, It was time to complete back clinical rotation. This was the highlight and peak stress of my entire PRP rotation as almost everyone was in clinical and OPD kept SOS-ing us and there goes our time to do our logbook requirements. Still remember the extra hours I had to put in the weekends just to come to wards to clerk cases as well as medication history all for the log book requirements.

As for the others, I don't remember anything specifically looking back at the Jadual Penempatan bulanan so I will try to remember the first thing that comes to mind.

Dashini

I think remember passing over PRIC to you as when you entered, there was no senior PRP in that department. I remember working with you in OPD and receiving clinical knowledge from you when I was in manufact as that time you were still in clinical rotation and finishing it off straight before coming to Manufact for your "cuti"

Kristen Lim Yeung Lyn

Honestly, I can't recall the moments that I worked with you (maybe probably oncall ) But I will definitely remember your black leather boots. Your one distinctive feature that I will never forget. After floating began with 3 months buffer after PRP finish, I only remember the touch-and-go times we meet on break and off work whenever you are not in OPD.

Ika Syafiqah

Yang I ingat mase time first time tagging ke WCC, you, me and Athirah nervous gila ikut Senior PRP Jaya pergi buat postnatal counselling. Padahal sekarang boleh je buat. Kita bercakap pun semua tentang kerja je haha.

Nur Athirah

Yes, same with Ika, is what I only remembered. mase time tagging ke WCC untuk post natal counselling. Ingat lagi you cakap bila counselling tu macam robot sebab kena cepat. banyak patient. Bila senior PRP bagi peluang nak counsel, x berani. Semua takut hahaha.

Aisyah Afiqah

Tak ingat mase time kita pernah bekerja sesama. Kalau ade pun mungkin banyak sangat PRP yang lain. Kalau ade pun mungkin masa time kat OPD bila sibuk buat filling bakul dan x sempat berkenalan hehehe.

Nur Azyan

Thank you masa time repond kat logistic tentang harga antibiotic ahaha. Time tu tengah buat buletin comparison harga. Senang la sikit kerja daripada turun logistics hanye untuk dapatkan info tu. Thank you byk2. Float kat WCC ade jugak i tolong syringe buatkan alprostadil xD

Yap Wei Ling

Once again, I don't have much memory of working together with you but I do remember when I started floating in OPD for 2 weeks, you helped me alot in VAS/KVAS by sending me things to read and how to handle the counter. Thank you soo much.

Tan Yu Xin

I remember very clearly working with you at OPD and you were complaining that you had IPD oncall even before entering IPD rotation. It was soo funny. Then with a certain case that I helped you and supported you as well. Hopefully you don't get it again la. Thank you for all your help last time. Eventhough after floating we don't talk much already since you are stuck in OPD.

Adrina

Aaaaah x ingat jugak the first time started working with you. The most clear memory of me was when you was in clinical and you were telling about your ward rounds and doctors. Then you would give your advise on how to do clinical rotation as you started your clinical rotation first ahaha.

Luqman

Ketua Floating kat Manufact! Ni yang I ingat ahaha. Sebelum ni macam x pernah ingat bekerja sesama kecuali yang mase time tagging kat IPD awal dan ingat you masuk clinical dulu sebelum saya. Lepas tu yang ingat semua masa time floating. Untung la dapat TPN sebelah manufact  department you hehe.

Muhammad Amirul Adli

Big Boss TPN. I rase i x pernah kot kerja dengan you sebelum floating. Yang I ingat mase time clinical kita masuk ward yang same la untuk 2 minggu. Berebut semua requirement dengan jadual SOS pun you kena buat ahha. Terima Kasih tunjuk ajar kat TPN/CDR lepas sebulan float masuk lambat ahaha.

All in all. I just want to say Thank you for being with me through PRP in HTJS. It may not be the first choice for most of all of you, but I'm glad we met. Through the ups and downs, you guys have made it much more bearable and enjoyable through my PRP life in HTJS.

It was exciting and quite enjoyable going around the hospital taking photos and talking after so long especially in different departments. Eating afterwards at KFC also was very enjoyable while we talk about everything before we meet again on Monday for our placements.

Thank you everyone for everything through this journey.

P.S. I actually cried abit otw back from KFC after everything because it truly does feel like we won't be able to see each other all together for a very long time.

Weathering with you / 天気の子 Thoughts...

So recently I went to watch one of my highly anticipated anime movie since it was released in Japan few months back and was finally showing in the nearby cinemas on 9th September.

Weathering with you / 天気の子 directed by Makoto Shinkai

As I was sort of late to the hype train of the previous film of Your name / 君の名は。, I still enjoyed the movie very much and proceeded to bawl my eyes out in certain scenes especially with the accompanying music played by Radwimps that made the scenes even more enjoyable and emotional. I'll get more into the films in another post so that I can keep this post spoiler free as the film is just only recently was released and I don't want to upset those who want to watch the movie totally spoiler-free.

 okay
This is the story...only she and I knew about
If you have already watched the trailer of the movie, you would basically know the basic plot line of the movie.
"A high-school teenage boy runs away from his home to Tokyo that is constantly raining and meets with a mysterious girl that is able to control the weather"
I'll try my best to talk about the movie without giving any spoilers away.

First off, the visuals and animation of this movie is just the best.
There is nothing more to describe it than being absolutely beautiful and eyegasm to watch. Every sing time the weather changes from raining to being clear while blue sky or cloudy evening with the sun in the background just reminds me the joy of watching anime. I would say that the animation of this movie beats out all of Makoto Shinkai's previous work including Your name / 君の名は。. I actually grinning from one side to another when there was a 180° rotation pan from facing the character until behind where you can beautifully see the background weather with the characters.
I still remember the scene so beautifully that I still get small goosebumps when I listen to the music which brings me to my next point.

The music is entirely composed by Radwimps again making the movie even more enjoyable to watch.
However, I would say the music for Your name does a better job of making each and every scene unique, relating more with the song. Don't get me wrong, I still can relate each song for Weathering with you with different scenes but not as much as Your name. Maybe the fact that I have watched Your name almost a dozen times compared to the few times I have watched Weathering with you could have something to do with it. but regardless, the soundtrack and music is still very much like a Radwimps song and makes the film even better than it is.

Taking a step down, I'm gonna talk regarding the plot a little while avoiding spoiler territory.
I would say the plot of this anime movie is very simple and direct. It does follow the same story trope of Your name. However, there was less gut punching moments or waterfall tears compared to Your name. This was a nice turn of experience, at least for me, as the film went to a little lighter zone but did showcase some of the dark zones but not as much. Many people or reviews (that I have found after crazily looking around of this movie) that I found say that the plot is just not that interesting or predictable soo much that it just doesn't bring the movie up as great as Your name. If you have watched Your name, it is only reasonable to think that this movie is going to be better. My advise is to just watch the movie as it is to truly enjoy it. Don't compare the movies as each movie shines in different areas. I can't wait for Makoto Shinkai's next work if he ever starts another project in the far future.

I think that is all from me. My mind is still boggled from watching the anime film. From the music and visual aspects, it definitely wouldn't bother me if I watch it again multiple times in the cinema.

Hopefully you enjoy the movie if you are planning to watch it.

When you start to take things slowly..

It is amazing how clear my mind becomes when I am just sitting blankly in a quiet environment thinking about things that happened in life all around me that makes me appreciate all the things that happen to me be it good or bad.
The only reason why my mind is thinking more frequently this way and why I am currently updating and writing this post is because I'm far away from my laptop (where I will always be mapling or some other stuff than updating this blog) and currently using a tablet with a wireless keyboard making use of free time other than browsing youtube or the web. Mobile games tend to turn me off at some point due to the high power usage and using a tablet that has no data is quite hard maintain constant playtime back home.

Hope everyone is doing well. Currently spending my sem break holiday overseas. However, this is one of the holidays where I feel like don't deserve it due to some studies problem and others. Like I know I should learn from my mistakes and everything but it doesn't change that feeling of worthlessness that I have. When you actually put in so much effort and time only to see all of it go to waste for nothing. I am very grateful for the support of my close family that really encourage me but my mind always wanders off..
What about my friends?
What about my future?
What will the seniors and juniors say?

I always convince myself to always put the thoughts of myself first before thinking about what other people would say. I can control what I think but not others. But it is still very hard and painful to listen to demotivating words or thoughts that may not be even conveyed  properly.

Some people say you need to be happy with yourself before you be happy with anyone else. Spent time with yourself first before opening yourself up to people.
But why does it feel so hard for me to do that?
Should probably learn to tackle this problem in the future...

Since I have a couple of free time away from my laptop and unable to play any games that take up most of my time, I would probably to try post something again soon. I recently saw How to train your dragon The hidden world and Alita Battle Angel so maybe I could write my own reviews on them but the movie might not be showing anymore in cinemas  xD.

I guess thats it for now

Till next time, CryZ

There really is so many things to learn

You know, the more I progress on into the semester and ongoing continuous learning, I feel like there are truly so many things that I do not know. From simple to complicated, I feel like that life is such a continuous journey of constantly learning until the day we breath our last.

Even at old age where we start to develop diseases that may cause memory lost. We still need to relearn the things that we already learnt before.
Thinking of such things sometimes gets me a little depressed.....
Cause eventually in the end, everything will be for naught. You will just be forgotten unless you really make your mark in the society and I don't think I can go that far.
Somehow I think back of the things I should have done like a normal person. Studying, being a good human being overall, etc etc....
And I feel like if I don't experience them now, it might be too late later on when I'm working. That is IF I'm working. And when I'm working, Will I have time? By then I'll probably have a family and need to work hard to support them....
So sometimes, I really don't feel that bad just taking a day to do whatever I feel like doing regardless of how childish, expensive, impulsive it may be. Cause if I don't do it, I'll never experience it. If I don't push myself, I'll never get to enjoy the life we only experience once.

The Semester has begun~

Heeeeeyy~!
Yes, It is a miracle that I'm actually posting even when I said I would posting.

The new semester has commenced and I am another step closer towards graduation hopefully. With more and more new things to learn everyday with more work and assignments coming in, I should be happy to be busy once more so that I won't feel bored. As I mentioned previously, I did an internship at a pharmaceutical plant Kotra Pharma at Melaka during the semester break as part of the another module that I currently have this semester.
Basically it was another module during the semester break to simplify things.

I have learnt a lot of things, met a lot of people, and most importantly open my eyes towards the working world which I will be heading out to in a few years time. There are plenty of things that I would love to share about in my internship but I'll leave it to another post if I have the time (or remember to share it)

No, instead today I would just like to say what is on my mind as I enter back university and doing my Final Year Project and meeting back my classmates that I "should" have known for already 3 years.

Now being at internship has already opened my mind towards many people, different cultures, different language, etc etc.
I have to admit that there were a few language barriers everywhere you go, It is unavoidable. Like perhaps if you are with a group that only converse in another language that you don't understand. I had this problem ever since Foundation and it has dragged on now till the point where I don't bother anymore. They are simply just more comfortable in their group that it makes it very uncomfortable when other people attempt to join or hang out together as a class or a group.

But at the internship, regardless of whether there was any language barrier, they would always return back to a common language to explain everything which is English.
This opened my eyes as not every group of people is the same. Of course I don't have a choice now as the batch is the same throughout your study years and University but it won't be the same in working life.
Sure you might get the same people in working life but you have the option to mingle with people from other departments or perhaps after gathering enough working experience, you could job hunt to another company to expand your circle.
It has opened my mind to not only think of what I have to face but more to what will I have to face more in the future.

Sorry for such a out of topic random post that I gathered my thoughts on. I will try to resume my other usual post or another random post if I have the time.
Oh, Equalizer 2 is coming out next week.
I got something to look forward to 😃

Internship!!

It has been almost more then a year since my last blog post but this blog has never left my mind and heart. I do occasionally still update the blog by changing the layouts, template as well as the background music (I change this waaaay too often if I'm in love with a current song/movie)
Anywhoooo

So here I am spending my 1 month sem-break doing an internship at a company called Kotra Pharma at Melaka.
Why Melaka you say? Because I don't have to trouble myself finding new accomodation or any food related problems. My family and relatives are relatively close (see what I did there) so I feel more comfortable staying at Melaka then moving somewhere totally out of familliarity.

Why do internship rather then enjoying your break?
Its simple.
I didn't have a choice xD

One of my modules for pharmacy next sem is based on this industry attachment. Marks will be given based on precepto8r marks, presentation as well as report. So like it or not, I HAVE TO GO.
The good news is I will have 1 less module to go for any classes. More less like bringing 1 subject into the sem-break but the subject takes up almost the entire day throughout the weekdays for 4 weeks xD And the only reason that here I am actually doing a blog post is because I currently have no work at you know where. Thus trying to kill time

Who knows? Maybe this ripple will break the water surface more and I start posting more?

Till then, (I'm stuck here)

Sometimes all you need is a little motivation...

Busy busy busy. That is the only thing that ever comes to my mind the past few weeks or perhaps has it been months?
Hey everyone.
Well regardless how busy I am, I still make an attempt to reward myself every once in awhile (or maybe too often) by playing games or getting that delicious desert/coffee that I crave.
Don't forget MapleStory as well as another new game that I'm hooked on Marvel vs Capcom infinite but I'll leave that topic for another day.

This has been a topic that I really wanted to touch on for a very long time ever since I started my degree in Pharmacy. I just never took the time to actually sit down and write a post about it.
And it is about motivation

Now you are going to say "Oh its easier said than done, I still feel like giving up everyday regardless how much I get myself together"
That is not the point. The point is for you to maintain grip of yourself and follow the line that you started. Sure you may have gone off the lines a few times or maybe erased and started back.
But it is the SAME line and eventually you will reach the end.

I want to share something that opened my eyes before I entered my PRE-U course and till this day I remember it as though it only happened yesterday.

As most people are aware, I actually dropped out of a-levels. It was the most devastating time of my life. I felt so hopeless, Felt so worthless.
Both my brother both took a-levels and regardless of their results they actually made it through and completed it. I couldn't even complete it and it was the exact same scenario.

My parents didn't want to put much pressure into me so when I told them my results on the verge of tears, they told me its best to cut short of where I was during that point of the semester and start a new on whatever I wanted to do. This is good yeah, but it doesn't change the fact that I actually DROPPED out of the course.

So after a few days of following my parents around hometown and all. One of my auntie on my fathers side sat down and had a chat with me regarding my future plans of studying and what should I pursue. Keep in mind I was still feeling very down about my drop out. I had some minor thoughts about continuing Foundation but I had no real clear goals.

She told me to cheer up and say there's always other opportunity and stuff with all the usual chatter.
But she did something different,
She handed me a piece of paper along with a pencil.
She asked me to not use my writing hand for this and then told me to draw a tree.
I didn't want to think much or say much being that fact I wanted to be left alone and cry deeply inside (xD i'm joking ok). I just swapped the pencil to my left hand and drew a very simple tree. It wasn't the best but hey its not my regular hand.

She then told me to draw an elephant and it could be anywhere in the picture of the tree.
And this point I was slightly weirded out by such a request but I didn't say much. I just used the pencil and draw an elephant at best I can beside the tree.
The elephant looked so horribly disfigured that I actually made myself laughed a little.

Then, what I felt the real talk started.

She took the picture and said with a smile on her face.
"Have you tried drawing a tree and an elephant with not your comfortable hand before?"

Then it hit me what she was trying to say and till now I use those words for me to keep moving forward.

At that point 1 of my uncle came in and she asked him if he could distinguish what are the pictures that I have drawn on the paper. He said a tree and an elephant
She told me that my mind is very focused (the very science student type of thinking)
I did not hesitate to draw.
I did not question my ability to draw.
I have not even drawn an elephant before.
I just drew the picture using the hand that I wasn't comfortable with.
And yet other people can still notice the drawing I made.

The paper resembles the studies that you are about or planning to take. Since it is a blank paper, there are so much possibilities for everyone. The picture may be the same for certain people but the shading, colours will be different and vary from people to people.

You may not know how to draw whatever it is you want to draw. But if you continue to draw the same picture over and over again using a new hand wouldn't you get better at it?

I thought this was just another joke because anyone would have just taken up the pencil and draw whatever it is they wanted because its just a picture that signifies nothing.
My auntie was a teacher so she told me she did the same thing at her school but the response from the younger generation was totally different.

Before they even started to draw, they already lost confidence and refuse to draw because they are not using their writing hand, For those who started drawing, they found new alternatives to the picture by drawing the trunk and tail of the elephant coming out from the tree and saying that the elephant is behind the tree saving the trouble of drawing a full elephant.

The conversation didn't entirely go the whole way as I may have taken it in but I did get the message.

My problem was that I didn't know what picture that I should start drawing. My previous paper was all smashed up (a-level dropout) and I didn't have that feeling of starting a new fresh paper.

So now I encourage you to whoever is reading this.
Find your piece of paper.
Take a different colour or shape of paper if it makes you more comfortable.
Draw whatever it is you want to do.
Do what you want to do.

Because If you like what you do, you will definitely do it everyday and get better at it.
Because if you like to do it, how bad can it be?

Women's Health Public Health Campaign

Yeah I know I haven't posted anything in time.
In fact, This is probably the first post the year sooo anywhoooo...

There was a public health campaign event at my university few days ago. Few booths were open for the pubic to know more about the themed "Women's Health" where you could ask or know more about your menstrual cycle and other related topics.

There was even a blood drive for those who wanted to donate blood and also a health screening booths so you could check your blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and also your BMI If not mistaken. There was also a Blackmore booth that offered to check your blood density? I wanted to check this but I got there too late because I attended a talk xD
Mainly given by BAYER and few others.
Talks were given about menstruation, menopause, family planning, contraception, and cosmeceuticals.
All were fairly interesting except the last one because I wasn't really paying attention (Sorry ><)

I was suppose to come later just for the talk or come a bit earlier if I wanted to join the booth events as well as donate blood which I can't because I'm thin as a stick. The plan was to study at the library after I have done exploring and return later for the talk.
BUUUUUTTTT
Somehow some way I was asked for help in moving the foods as well as the drink boxes to the theater that is going to have the talk.
And it was then I became a helper committee ish person xD
Not really complaining but at least I got to do something that morning other then studying which I should probably do more often because all the test are starting to come along with more assignments and... and...AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

Anyways, I decided to help out because I wanted to try something new.
There won't always be time for me to do something different even if it is something that makes me uncomfortable. I was feeling less of it because I was hanging out in different parts of the events. (And not that ones that are out of my comfort zone)
But maybe 1 day I will.
Well eventually I suppose.
Because sooner or later I will still face the same "situation" when I'm in a working environment.
Back to the topic, Women's Health!
The crowd was fairly huge in the morning. Can't say the same for the evening because I wasn't there and was in the tallk
The year 2 students had a somewhat similar talk on the same topic with the same company but different people so it was quite the same.
Except this time, most year 2 students were not there xD
Even for year 1, I doubt there was more then 60%? Well maybe a little even more

There was a little food served outside the talk for Tea.
It was nothing much but at least it was something.
Karipap and Fried Mihun.

But hey it's free food :D
At the end of the day, I started to think more towards what did I get from today.
Would it had been better if I just stayed in the library and study for my upcoming subjects?
Well.... Maybe....
But that is not the point xD
The point is I should always try and get out of my comfort zone for me to learn new things.
I may not like it, yes, But at least I learnt something from it.

After all, I am going to be a pharmacist in the mere future (Hopefully)
And hopefully get more updates out from this blog. (Mostly lazy and out of time :3)

Commencement of a new semester

Harrow everybodeh.
Been a while since I said anything about myself.
Occupied to the brim now since my semester just started again. Funny how the 1 month of sem break pass by so fast?
I was about to go on and on about something that most people won't probably bother reading so yeah.

New Semester as started over the past couple of weeks.
It has been hectic as ever with new stuff to learn as well as assignment and reports to hand in.
I tried everything I could for them to realize what they are doing but it seems to bare no fruits of effort. Still gullible and ignorant of the indirect message I have tried telling them.

But who am I to say anything right?
It is up to them that determines their action and not me.
I can't control their actions but I can control what I feel and act.

I have learnt so much that I feel as though there are so many things to learn everyday.
"The only time we stop learning is when we are no longer breathing"

Can't seem to remember who said that but it sort of came to my mind when I was thinking about all this.
Of course the most I learn is the people that you mix around with. I'm always the people kinda guy you know? Always like to see a smile on someones face, or maybe even a laugh.
But I don't like it when you are being very inconsiderate. There are limits of course but I'm not sure how long I can take it anymore.
Perhaps this is just how uni life works?
Every person for themselves?
I know it's just small small things but in the end it piles up together to form such a huge mountain of things that keep bugging me that I lost sight of what is really important.

Me

I'm better then that.
If I am feeling those now, I will ensure it will never happen to the people close to me.
Be it friends or family, or anyone else that I have known.

You are worth more then that
Remember that the next time you feel alone or down against the whole world

Maplestory Post "Hard Magnus Guide" -ish

Back at you with another Boss Guide - ish for MapleStory! Aha!
Gotten a few positive feed back from few people and my friends and decided to continue on with this so called guide-ish of mine for tips and tricks to down bosses as well as their attacks and patterns.
As I said before, I am only here to tell you what you can do to down him and not to tell you that you have not enough damage.
If you think you have it, then by all means

So, Hard Magnus.
His phases are a little big different compared to the other bosses. He has this blue shield aura around him that plays a very crucial way for you to deal damage or heal yourself up.
Any damage done to him or any healing effect done to yourself will be reduced to 10% when you are standing outside his shield.
It is also important to mention that you lose 10% health when you are outside his shield and 1% health when inside the shield.
The health reduction varies depending on the difficulty of Magnus with Hard Magnus being fastest to reduce your hp outside or inside the shield.

There is also a potion cooldown in this map
The first phase (100% health) starts off as you enter and you can see that the shield aura surrounding him is very huge. You should be able to avoid most of his attacks in this phase.
What are his attacks?
I'll get to that later but this is mainly what you should be doing during these phases
The shield gets closer each phase.
Phase 2 ( 75% health) has not much difference then phase 1. You should focus more on doing damage as survivability is much easier done here then the last phase 3 and phase 4
Phase 3 ( 50% health )will conclude you are not really safe in his shield aura area most of his attacks will instantly kill you or send you flying to your doom.
Phase 4 ( 25% health )or what I like to hell Hell phase starts  when the shield is as big as him only.
This is the phase that most Maplers fail to down him as they will start dropping like flies.
Survivability is very hard to maintain during this phase even more so while you need to damage him and avoiding all his death skills.
I'll compile all the list of things you need to take in mind at the end as you know, Magnus does a lot of crap ton of skill as you are fighting him.
You are need take note of the falling meteor balls that happens randomly across the map as you are fighting him.
Small green meteor ball = 50% health damage
Medium blue meteor ball = 100% health damage
Large purple meteor ball = 100% health damage

But ideally you want to avoid ALL the balls when possible as you are not only tanking damage from the meteors but also from Magnus.
It should also be worth mentioning that Magnus has no touch damage so you can hug him and give him all the love he needs <3 p="">
Now lets get to his attacks

The diagonal beam.
Magnus flies up and charges his next attacks to be 2 beams of devastation across him
This beams instantly kills you.
The only safe spot for this attack is to remain directly underneath him.
This is very situational and must be up to you how you interpret this situation. If he begins to charge his diagonal beam but you see a large purple meteor falling slowly in the middle of the safe spot, it is most probably more safe to recover yourself to 100% inside his shield and quickly move outside of range of his diagonal beam.
You need to recover your health before moving out as your life will drop 10% every few seconds which could lead to your death as you try to enter back his shield
The Sword Dash
Magnus does a dash attack that does damage according to your % max hp + magic defense
This is the only skill the moves magnus rapid from 1 spot to another.
This attack is not really that threatening but what comes after might decide when you live or die.
If you are a class with low magic defense ( warrior ), this attack will deal quite a significant amount of damage to your hp. If you have skills that help you recover hp, it will help you a little bit as you don't have to rely so much on potions only.
(Make sure you use only Power Elixir in this fight as he occasionally cast zombify that reduces that effectiveness of potions/making you damage yourself if you heal using skills)
The Shadow Strike Clone.
Magnus summon several portal which his clones appears and strikes ground instantly.
There is a little cast delay on this skill so you can see the animation of magnus casting it and the portal appearing before it strikes the ground.
Magnus usually combos this with his other skills making it almost certain death.
The portal usually come out with different timings making it quite possible to dodge if you maneuver properly at the right timing.
That comes with practice and it doesn't come overnight. You just need to get used to it.
The Spider Web debuff
Magnus places a web debuff on your that reduces your speed to 50% and you are unable to use certain moving skills for a set period of time.
There are certain skills that ignore this debuff such as

  • Wild Hunters moving while attacking skills ( you need to hold down your hurricane while moving to ignore the effects of the webbing)
  • Aran's combat step
  • Demon Slayer/Avengers Glide ability
I don't really attempt Magnus on every character so this is what I know so far xD

This skill almost guarantees a death for you because you are very vulnerable at this period.
Focus more on surviving until the debuff wears out. You need to know where to move as the 50% movement speed makes you sitting ducks.
I knew the portals were coming out so I moved towards him in the webbed state.
If his next skill was the spin skill, I would have been dead.
Spin skill?
Yes there are plenty more skills he has =P
Poison Cloud
Magnus spawns puffs of smoke on both corners of the map that disable (like seduce) you for a period of time.
Getting hit by this is almost like an instant death for you ( but at a slow rate if you are outside his shield, talk about a slow death xd)
Remember what I said about your life depleting 10% every few seconds?
Yeah, You are a dead man.

The good thing about this is that the poison ONLY spawns at both corners of the map.
Solution?
Well the best solution is to get 100% status resist then you will never get hit by the spider web xD
Always keep the Magnus fight as center as possible.
If you are forced to face the corner in order to survive and he dashes to that corner, focus more on baiting him back to the center.
Or if you died because you couldn't avoid, wait for him to dash back to the center before respawning.
It gives plenty of opportunity for Magnus to slaughter you if you are standing near the corner.
If he webs you right next to the poison, it is pretty much good bye
You won't have time to move out of the poison indicator due to lower movement speed and the inability to use any moving skills.
And proceed to slow death of 10% life reduction outside his shield xD
Spell combos are deadly no? =P
Sword Slam
Magnus flies up and prepares his massive sword and slams directly underneath him.
You will notice that he uses this skill frequently past phase 3 (50%) and even more so during phase 4 ( 25% ).
This is because he knows that you need to be in his shield area to deal damage and better survive, and he strikes right underneath him.
It is not so bad during phase 3 as you can still remain in his shield at the edge and not dying to his sword slam. You can even take it as a few seconds to attack him in the air as he just floats there for a few seconds
This skill becomes very deadly at phase 4 where the shield is only as big as him.
Staying under him when he strikes down only ensures your death.
So you would need to avoid staying under him when he strikes down and quickly move back in.
The skill I hate the most....
Meat Spin.
Magnus raises his swords and shake off enemies near him.
It does damage based on your % max hp and magic defense, similar to his dash attack.
It is very annoying as this skills gives you such a ridiculous knock back area around him.
If you get hit by this dash, there a few things that could kill you

  • Hit you straight to an OHKO meteor ball ( GOAAAAAAAAAAAL)
  • Spider web you before hitting you out resulting in less time to recover and enter back his shield
  • Hit you to the poison clouds sitting at the corner of the map
  • Position you right under his Shadow Strike Clone thingy.
And you will be deaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

And that basically is all his attacks.

Now for some tips and tricks to attempt Hard Magnus.
Try and place your buffs on separate keys and not on macro as sometimes a fast moving meteor can kill you.
Always move to Magnus first before starting any rebuffs as you are losing 10% health outside his shield and being in vision of Magnus will help if he does any skills next.
Prioritize surviving then buffing, You can always buff later on. If you die again, you will have to buff all the way from the start.
Having pet auto buffs help you from buffing up while being able to move around and avoid attacks.

If your job class has a vertical ascend skill, you can actually "jump" over the meat spin.
This requires practice and deadly precision.
If you jump too late, you will still get hit by the spin.
You jump too early and it will be like playing baseball for Magnus.
Always keep Magnus from the corner and bait him back to the center
( Even if it means dying at the center instead of going kamekaze into him in the corver )
Know the perimeter of the poison cloud to more or less estimate which area of Magnus is safe if he is close to the corver.
Do not stay at the side of Magnus which is near to the corner as he can aggro to you and dash in that direction
When you see a bunch of the Shadow striker portal appearing, You need to time when each portal appears to determine when each strike will take place.
I don't know if you guys played Megaman X but this sorta reminds me of that game as you need timing to stay alive.
Of course you could just jump the opposite direction and jump back in once everything is cleared up.
BUT
This will give you potential extra hits on magnus especially during phase 4 when you are required to hug him closely.
You could see that I jump through the strikes as I know which clone was about to strike first.

And of course as I mentioned in my previous CRA Vellum guide
Link skills that help you in survivability.

  • Eunwol : Close Call that gives 10% to withstand a fatal attack. Considering the amount of times you actually die in Hard Magnus, This skill could always give you a chance or 2
  • Knights of Cygnus : Status Resistance up to 25% for the 5 knights which will help you not get spider webbed as frequently as possible
  •  Resistance : Up to 6 Seconds invincibility upon ressurection which can help your buffing time as you re-enter Magnus Fight. You can afford to start at the start of the respawn area for around 4 sec buffing before moving to Magnus. During this 6 seconds, You will be hit by anything at all ( this includes metoers, poisons, and anything from Magnus )

Or alternatively, you could just bring in a crap ton of binders and only hit during binds if that is what you wish xD
Then you only need to worry about the falling meteors.

I wish good luck to whoever attempts Hard Magnus with lots of cape drops for you :)
I would say more coins too but every run is set at 6 coins by default ;_;
